Who We Are

In 2017, Trout Seeker Fly Fishing opened its doors to the public. Since then, we have conducted numerous tours in our lovely and calming fishing spots in San Isabel, Colorado. We have helped many individuals, families, and groups connect with nature and experience fly fishing. To this day, we continue offering our excellent touring services to anyone, including you.

Michelle East's Story

Hi, I am Michelle East, and I want you to know a little more about me. I have fished all my life, but ten years ago I discovered fly fishing and my life changed. Sounds dramatic, but it’s true nonetheless. My husband gave me some basic instruction and we launched our float tubes on the lake to begin my fly fishing experience.

I had one fly on my fly rod, an Elk Hair Caddis. As I tossed that little fly on the water, a trout came up to take it. I missed him, along with several others, but when I finally hooked one on and landed him, I was hooked! This angler had been reborn!

Since that summer day I eat, sleep, and breathe fly fishing. Anyone who knows me will nod in agreement. There are very few conversations that the word fly fishing, trout, water conditions, or flies are not a part of.

I have volunteered for several organizations associated with fly fishing such as Project Healing Waters and Trout Unlimited, and have formed local fly fishing groups such as Greenhorn Valley Lady Anglers, and Greenhorn Valley Anglers.

I realized how much I loved working with others interested in fly fishing and decided to attend Colorado Fly Fishing Guide Academy in 2018. I now am a licensed outfitter and guide, and provide fly fishing education to those interested in learning about or improving their fly fishing skills.

I especially enjoy working with new anglers. There is nothing better than watching someone catch their first trout and teaching them how to release him back to the water. It is an incredible feeling! Come find your passion on the water with Trout Seeker Fly Fishing!

Are you new to fly fishing and would like to learn the basics? Trout Seeker Fly Fishing is ready to help you learn the basics of fly fishing including equipment, knots and casting. If you want a private class or be part of a larger group, Trout Seeker Fly Fishing is ready to meet your needs.

If you are an angler with some experience, but you are looking to increase your knowledge and skills, Trout Seeker Fly Fishing can create a custom course for you. This class may be private or a group.

Is your casting not quite where you want it? Trout Seeker can create a casting class just for you.
